French Preserve Jar

Large 19th C. olive green storage/preserve jar. Free blown and formed in a dip mould and finished by hand. Nicely formed rim and large pontil. 12 1/4″ tall. Excellent condition. Probably French origin.

19th C., c. 1830-1835 blown glass pitcher with large deep cut panels and flutes. Large blown applied hollow handle with nicely crimped bottom attachment. 8″ tall overall. Excellent condition with no problems. From an old upstate NY collection.

Folded Foot Wines
Folded Foot Wines

Nice early examples of free blown wine or cordial glasses each with a folded foot base. 2 are “bucket” shaped bowls and 2 have “funnel” shaped bowls. One, the third from the left also has a slightly swirled ribbed pattern from a dip mold. They range in height from 3 3/4″ to 4″, the 4″ one having the ribbed pattern. Pictured together but sold separately. We have about another 100 early small wines in inventory if you have a specific interest in wines.

Large Nailsea Pitcher
Large Nailsea Pitcher

A large (8 1/8″ high) and important free blown English “Nailsea” applied handle pitcher in a striking medium yellow-green with the traditional embedded white spots and applied white trailings on the rim. Robust bulbous form and nicely applied and crimped handle. Large tubular pontil. Normal wear from usage. In excellent original condition with no cracks, stars, chips or the like. An appealing size and form with the desired crudity of an early example in excellent condition.

Nailsea Pitcher

Early 19th C. Nailsea area utility pitcher, 6 1/8″ tall. Very nice deep foreest green body with white inclusion decoration. Crude, heavy conical form with pinched pouring lip and attached handle. Clear brilliant glass with nice swirls and striations. Excellent condition with no issues. A nice kick up pontil. Fine example.
