Probably Unique but a Least a Very Special Hunter’s or Trapper’s Percussion Cap and Powder Horn, 7 1/2” Long by 3” Wide. Also has a Thoughtfully Designed Brass Control Knob for Measuring the Powder Flow. The Larger End has a Carved Bear’s Head that also acts as the Container for the Percussion Caps (Some Remain) when you Lift the Spring Loaded Top of the Head. The Smaller End where the Powder is dispensed has a Carved Seal’s Head Decoration just above the Powder Hole. Brass Screws and Tacks Hold the Ends in Place. The Wood appears to be Walnut. Found in Northern New England. A wonderful Horn in Excellent Original Condition.

A Most Interesting Large Make Do Shore Bird Decoy. An imaginative farmer/hunter fashioned this Large Make Do Shore Bird from what appears to be the Handle of an Old Well Used Buck Saw, added a Beak and was ready to go. 14” Tall on the Stand and 17” Long. Mounted on and old piece of Driftwood. Found in Coastal Maine. Very clever.

A nice small 19th. C. Penn. Redware Parrot Pie Bird, 2 1/2” Tall by 3 “ Long. A well formed Parrot Glazed Green with Yellow and Black Eyes, Red and Yellow Wings, White Beak and Red Base. Very good original condition with only some wear to the Red Base from use. A nice and unusual example. Fortune in Penn.

A very well done Very Large Carved Wood Blue Jay Mounted on a Driftwood Base. The Blue Jay is 12” Long and the Total Height is 8 1/2”. The Total base is 13” Wide. This Blue Jay appears to be a very happy bird. Open Mouth and Smiling right at you. Well carved body with good detail to the wings and tail. Very nice detailed attention to the paint work. And, a nice selection of Driftwood for the Base. Mounted on heavy steel wire. Fine original condition. Probably from the 1950’s. Nice example.

Here is a Group of 3 Small Birds, 4-4 1/2” Tall, Carved from Wood with some nice details and nicely Paint Decorated. Wire Legs and Feet Wrapped in Cord. Nice playful look and each is different. Good colors and nice old patina. Just some minor paint wear here and there, nothing significant. These came from a Department Store Display in Cleveland, Ohio C. 1930’s or 40’s and we’re part of a larger group. Price is for the Group of 3. We also may have another group.
