The Bed Has a Pleasing 4 Poster Design with an Elaborate Scroll Cut Headboard. Excellent Original Condition. A Very Pleasing Piece for the Miniature Country Collector or Doll Collector. A Well Proportioned and Well Constructed 5 Drawer Grain Painted Chest. Original Multilayer Paint Swirled to Simulate a Strong Sweeping Grain. Using Medium Orange Mustard over a Darker Green Brown. Accented with a Band of Lighter Color Mustard Around the Drawer Edges. The Primary Wood is Poplar and the Secondary is Pine. Retains its Original Porcelain Knobs. Case is Accented by Chamfered Side Columns and Cupid’s Bow Scalloping on the Sides of the Base. Nailed construction. Very Good Original Paint. A wonderfully created late 19th C. carved walnut box with a large Flying Eagle grasping the world globe (showing North and South America), strong relief carvings and great molded shapes on carved raised feet. The relief carved shield has the word “Mizpah”, which is an ancient reference to being “watched over and protected”. It is also a common Masonic and Biblical term with the same meaning.

Late 19th C Chip Carved Hanging Wall Box with original red painted surface. Nicely carved and applied decoration. All original with a minor glued crack on two of the “teeth” on the top edge of the storage area. Made of poplar. Probably PA or NYS origin.
