Nantucket Basket

Good 19th C Nantucket Basket, 10 1/4″ diameter and 6 1/4″ high without handle up. Very good original condition with no stitch breaks. Top rim wrapping is missing 6 loops that could easily be replaced. Original handle and swing pivot hinges. Attributed to Captain Wyler, Orange St., Nantucket c. 1918-23. Nice warm nut brown patina.
