Interesting Small 19th. C. American Carved Pantry Box – 4 1/2” Diameter D 1 3/4” High. Wrapped Wood Construction Around Pine Top and Bottom Held in Place With Small Wood Pegs. The Ends of the Finger Wraps are Held with Small Tacks. The Desirable Feature is the 4 Inset Carved “Hearts” and “Diamond” in the Top Lid. Very Nice Original Condition with a Nice Warm Aged Patina. The is a Small Missing Piece of the Top Wrap Near the the Overlap, Shown in a Photo. It Has Been Missing for a Long Time as There is Ample Wear Over it. A Delightful Small Box with Hearts and Diamond. Perhaps a Present.
