Here We Have a Very Large Cast Lead Fish Form Lead and Iron Fishing Jig with 2 Large Iron Hooks – 12” Long and 5” Across. Probably Early 20th. C. From the North East Atlantic Area. Cast Lead Fish Form with the Line Attachment Hole in the Tail. This is the Largest Example We have had and It is in Very Nice Used Condition. Likely Used for Cod Jigging. Creatively Crudely Carved Curved Body with Unusual Wildly Flared Head and Gills and Curved Tail with Deeply Carved Grooving Along the Tail. An Interesting Graduated Group of 3 Animal Bone, Brass and Steel Fishing Jigs from the 1900’s. This Type of Jig was Primarily Used for Tuna Fishing.
