Blown compote
Blown compote

Large blown and deep cut compote, 10″ diameter, 9 1/2″ tall. Deep cut circles and ellipses on the bowl and cut panels on the hollow pedestal. Excellent craftsmanship all around. Disk base, applied to hollow support pedestal and attached to the bowl with a glass wafer. Excellent condition with no damage or staining. Ground and polished pontil. Probably American origin, c. 1830.

Leech Bowl
Leech Bowl

A little different form of a medical leech bowl. It stands out with a smaller bowl (5 1/2″ diameter) and a more interesting blown 2 ribbed trumpet base than others. Nicely blown bowl and base, both with folded edges. Overall 9″ tall. Excellent original condition with no problems.

Early 19th C. American white ash burl bowl with excellent burl pattern. Sits on a raised base and shows very good turning lines around the outer surface. Very good color inside and outside. Old rim losses from use. Minor tight shrinkage hair line (1.5″). 14 1/4″ diameter, 5 5/8″ high

American White Ash Burl Bowl

Excellent large early 19th C. American white ash burl bowl with an excellent burl pattern. Very well turned with a nice wide raised rim. Very nice color inside and outside. Excellent original condition. One minor tight shrinkage hairline (3 1/4″). Bowl has a 15 1/2″ diameter and is 6 1/8″ deep.

Northwest Coast Halibut Bowl

19th C. Northwest Coast Native American carved food bowl in the shape of a native halibut. Beautifully carved bowl with the halibut supported on a raised pedestal form. Well carved details with abalone inlayed eyes and original painted accents (yellow, black and red). Excellent original condition with a nice old worn patina. The wood is cedar. 19 3/8″ long, 7 3/4″ wide and 3 3/8″ high. A fine example from an old collection.

Mid size Delft charger/shallow bowl, probably Dutch. Nicely done blue and white floral and banded edge decoration with mustard yellow outer rim. Excellent original condition with no restoration or cracks/hairlines. Normal scratches and edge fritting from use. 10 3/8″ diameter and 1 3/8″ deep.
