Early 19th C. Nailsea area utility pitcher, 6 1/8″ tall. Very nice deep foreest green body with white inclusion decoration. Crude, heavy conical form with pinched pouring lip and attached handle. Clear brilliant glass with nice swirls and striations. Excellent condition with no issues. A nice kick up pontil. Fine example.

Nailsea Jug
Nailsea Jug

A very large, 12 1/4″ tall by 7 1/4″ diameter, handled Nailsea Jug in medium yellow green with embedded white glass flecking. Large ear shaped applied handle with return curl contact. Applied lip and large pontil mark. Clear and brilliant glass, Excellent condition. The only comment would be some partial loss from one of the white enbedded flecks, sort of typical on these. You just do not see these oversized Nailsea jugs.

Large Nailsea Pitcher

A large (8 1/8″ high) and important free blown English “Nailsea” applied handle pitcher in a striking medium yellow-green with the traditional embedded white spots and applied white trailings on the rim. Robust bulbous form and nicely applied and crimped handle. Large tubular pontil. Normal wear from usage. In excellent original condition with no cracks, stars, chips or the like. An appealing size and form with the desired crudity of an early example in excellent condition.
