A most attractive early 19th C. American Pitcher in mint condition. Great helmut formed body with strikingly curved spout and an exceptionally formed hollow handle. Nice gutsy handle attachmenets with no problems. Well formed applied pedestal and circular foot give it an overall special design. Body is decorated with deep cut panels around the mid and lower body. 8 3/4″ tall. A strikingly pretty American pitcher. Fits nicely with the oversized sugar bowl below in size and form.

Early 19th C. Nailsea area utility pitcher, 6 1/8″ tall. Very nice deep foreest green body with white inclusion decoration. Crude, heavy conical form with pinched pouring lip and attached handle. Clear brilliant glass with nice swirls and striations. Excellent condition with no issues. A nice kick up pontil. Fine example.

A large (8 1/8″ high) and important free blown English “Nailsea” applied handle pitcher in a striking medium yellow-green with the traditional embedded white spots and applied white trailings on the rim. Robust bulbous form and nicely applied and crimped handle. Large tubular pontil. Normal wear from usage. In excellent original condition with no cracks, stars, chips or the like. An appealing size and form with the desired crudity of an early example in excellent condition.

Exceptional American Iced Drink Pitcher from the late 19th,. c.1880’s. Wonderful painting of ships, puce bergs and crew members in a night time scene. Highlighted top and bottom with gold gilding. Excellent original condition with some wear in the quadruple plate. Made by Rogers Smith and Co., Meridan, CT. A rare example of their early work.

Very large and heavy Oriental water pitcher with nicely done floral and bird polychrome decoration (and maybe 8 bats) along with gold highlights, 11″ tall. Probably later 19th C. No markings as to maker or origin. Very good condition with only 2 minor spout chips from use – 1 is an old small flake off the lip’s edge (about 2/4″x3/4″), the other, also a flake like chip, has an old repair and inpainting (about 7/8″x5/8″). The repair is visible in the photo. No hair lines or cracks.
